The Merry Manticore's Deck of Dice (d4, d10, d20)
A downloadable card deck
Here you'll find a deck of 100 cards which contain values representing die rolls on 4-, 10-, and 20-sided dice.
You can also order a print-on-demand version of this deck from DriveThruRPG!
You can use these cards as an alternative to rolling dice in situations where you have a small space or don't want your dice to get away from you. You might also find them handy if you want to be able to remember a series of rolls for one reason or another, or if you'd like to be in a situation where you won't re-roll the same value multiple times in a row (say, if you are rolling on some random tables).
Here are some suggestions on a couple of ways to put these cards to use:
As a set of d20s
Each card has a symbol in the lower left corner. If you divide the deck into five piles of cards with matching symbols then each pile represents a single d20. It also contains two sets of d10 results and five sets of d4 results.
You can share these piles around a table to replace individual dice for up to five people.
It is a bit of extra work, but if you shuffle the full pile after each draw (having replaced whatever card you drew first) you should get results a bit more consistent with actually rolling dice.
As a single bundle of five d20s
Unless you do quite a bit of replacing and reshuffling you won't get the same distribution of numbers as rolling dice, but using the entire deck as a single draw pile should still give you a nice range of random results.
As a percentile die
You can always draw two cards and combine the d10 results to come up with a percentile roll, but the cards are also each numbered from 1 to 100 in the upper right corner. You can use this number as a direct percentile roll too, if you'd like.
Print & Layout Notes
This is the print-at-home version of this deck and is laid out with nine cards per page and no card backs (so you'll want to print it single-sided if you are planning to cut the cards apart).
If there is interest, I can see about a version that includes the card backs as well.
