Phosphene (2020 Prototype)
A downloadable game for Windows
Phosphene is a third person exploration / adventure game currently in the prototype stage of development.
The current version is a very short, playable proof of concept for some of the puzzle styles, movement, and interaction mechanics. You can expect to spend about 10 minutes or so exploring the content that currently exists.
The World & Story
Phosphene takes place in a strange and mystical world that is on the brink of collapse. You unexpectedly arrive in this world, perhaps because of the influence of the powers that have maintained it, and are asked to help prevent it from unraveling.
You'll need to carefully explore and observe the world to uncover the clues and details you need to solve a variety of puzzles and collect new abilities to open up access to increasingly distant areas.
Much of the lore in the world is recorded in an unknown language, which you'll need to work towards deciphering in order to complete the game.
